Imec , Coventor, and Cadence have the pleasure to invite you to:
EUROPRACTICE Workshop:
imec SiGeMEMS technology &
MEMS+IC co-design-simulation using Coventor MEMS+©
in conjunction with Cadence Virtuoso simulation environment
October 11-12, 2010
imec, Kapeldreef 75, B-3001 Leuven, Belgium
The Workshop provides an introduction to imec’s SiGeMEMS technology followed by hands on sessions on Coventor and Cadence MEMS tools.
Imec’s CMORE Silicon Germanium MEMS platform technology, referred to as SiGeMEMS, is developed to enable monolithic integration of CMOS and MEMS. SiGeMEMS is based on a MEMS-last approach which allows state-of-the-art CMOS foundries to be employed.
EUROPRACTICE offers a fixed baseline SiGeMEMS process in a Multi-Project Wafer Service. This unique baseline process consists of MEMS structures defined by an electrode layer and a 4μm-thick SiGe-mechanical layer on top of a TSMC 0.18um CMOS wafer. Nanogaps of 500nm will allow fabrication of extremely small features.
Coventor’s SEMulator3D emulates Silicon processing in software, allowing you to fabricate your device in a virtual 3D environment. The SiGeMEMS process will be illustrated with SEMulator3D.
MEMS+ from Coventor provides MEMS and IC designers with a common platform for MEMS+IC design, MEMS+IC simulation, and MEMS+IC product development. MEMS+ provides a standard methodology for modeling MEMS devices and simulating them together with control electronics within Cadence Virtuoso to enable simulation of a MEMS and IC together in the Cadence environment.
This 2 day Training Event will comprise of lectures by imec, Cadence and Coventor Engineers plus hands-on practical sessions.
Who should attend:
The training is open to industrial attendees and staff and research students from accademic and research institutions:
- Engineering Managers
- MEMS & Analog/digital Design Engineers
Attendance at this Training Event is free of charge.
Attendees must arrange and finance their own travel and accommodation, and meals outside those offered as part of the training.
